Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Architect, design and implement Deployment solutions for the Teamcenter product.
  • Drive and own end-to-end delivery of innovative and performant features into our next-generation software applications with Deployment as the principal focus. Develop innovative solutions with focus to make the deployment of Siemens flagship products simplified, reliable and performant.
  • Guide engineers to design, implement, document libraries and frameworks that allow us to effectively scale deployment of our applications across multiple projects as common services or components, demonstrated by multiple products, calibrating scope, time, cost & quality constraints.
  • Contribute to install & Upgrade improvements through projects implementation.
  • Design and develop tools, utilities, and scripts to achieve full deployment automation – use industry standards tools wherever applicable.
  • Suggest and contribute to Install & Upgrade process improvements.
  • Guide and mentor engineers on clear maintainable full-stack code, working in a professional software engineering environment (source control, shortened release cycles, continuous integration, and deployment, etc.).
  • As a member of an agile team, write new feature code or new test automation frameworks based upon business needs related to deployment.
  • Participate multi-functionally in portfolio & product planning sessions as an engineering innovator with a focus on deployment. Own assigned areas/services/components of products as the technical guru.
  • Support our products for a deployment perspective, enable teams to identify and fix root causes of production incidents, own the long-term closure of major incidents.
  • Own deployment product quality and work to quickly address production defects.
  • Apply and influence data-driven analysis and pragmatic decision making aligned with business and technology needs to resolve deployment challenges. Follow-up on immediate deliveries with long-term solutions.
  • Partner in technology selection, cloud strategy, KPI establishment, technology roadmaps, project tracking and business case rationalization.
  • Serve as a technical lead for teams on topics of deployment as needed or special purpose projects per business priority.
  • Work with and influence architects, senior engineering, and product management to measure, track and iterate continuous improvement processes across the field of deployment, impacting success across the agile delivery organization globally.
  • Present operational status to management from an engineering operations level and advise back to engineers on calibration at team level practices. Learn quickly and adapt fast. Be a change leader!
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent is required.
  • 10+ years  of architecture, designing software is required.
  • 10+ years of experience in Design patterns and practices, data structures and algorithms, object-oriented programming, databases, SQL, web programming, SOLID principles, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.)
  • 10+ years programming experience in Java, C, C++ is required.
  • 5+ years as infrastructure architect
  • Teamcenter experience is a plus.
  • Experience in REST services, SOA, micro-services, unit testing, mocking frameworks, automation frameworks is a plus.
  • Prior experience in agile implemented at scale across multiple teams globally.
  • DevOps mindset - 5+ years' experience in a mature CI/CD SDLC environment, implemented exception handling, logging, monitoring, performance measurement, operational metrics
  • 3+ years' experience working in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Excellent insights into Architectural and design patterns and usage of modeling tools
  • Expertise in design review, code reviews and integration of software components in large systems
  • Sound knowledge of software engineering processes
  • Led multiple teams in a global delivery, agile, CI/CD, metrics-based setting.
  • Strong communication, partnership, teamwork, and influencing skills are required. Ability to communicate with and present to engineers, senior management & relevant stakeholders.
  • Hands on experience in Azure/AWS/Google Cloud services is a plus.

The salary range for this position is $145,700 to $262,300 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.  Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
