The role can be based in India, Europe or USA
(though the team is primarily based in India).

What part will you play? 

·       As Head of Data Ops & IoT, a SaaS Platform Engineering layer for Integration and Connectivity, you will be responsible for the architecture foundation, development, operations, and maintenance of the Integration and Connectivity services for our SaaS offerings and underlying technology. 

·       Primary responsibility includes architecture, development and operations of Connectivity and Integration services like, device connectivity services for connecting Edge with Cloud, IoT Data Model based on Anchor definition, Timeseries, Data Lake, Contextualisation, Reporting and Dashboarding framework for facilitating data integration and reporting across Siemens Xcelerator products.

·       You will lead a global organization of multiple passionate technical software development and operations teams, spanning the full spectrum of our Integration and Connectivity platform services across cloud and edge. 

·       Together with our business units you will define the technical strategy and roadmaps and then deliver the Integration and Connectivity services that power the data integration capability  of all our SaaS products offerings. 

·       Your relentless focus on customer value paired with operational excellence will be crucial for our business units success in enabling our industrial customers’ digital transformation especially focused around integration and connectivity requirements. 

·       You define targets and set up KPIs to measure and monitor quality, reliability, resilience, and security of the services. 

·       You coordinate and ensure with the respective business partners critical topics like cyber security, infrastructure cost, quality and legal compliance of integration and connectivity services, resulting in a proper consideration and implementation of corresponding requirements, regulations and cost controls. 

·       You act as a thought leader and innovator in the field of agile software- and cloud engineering, identify and implement the right technologies to support our SaaS offerings to scale efficiently through our integration and connectivity services. 

·       You execute end-to-end software development in an agile development methodology including requirements analysis, architecture, design, coding, testing, deployment, and operations. 

·       You work closely with the team distributed globally to ensure efficiency of operations and people leadership.

·       You create a powerful environment of high-quality engineering, continuous learning, and individual growth to support cross-organizational collaboration.

What you need to make real what matters. 

• You hold a university degree in computer science or related fields. 
• 8-10 years of professional software engineering experience in a senior leadership position. 
• You have long-term experience in a leading function within software engineering / development. Proven skills in mastering key cloud technologies and operating (enterprise) SaaS software services at scale is a must. 
• You have a profound knowledge of software development techniques and agile methodologies, particular in the context of cloud-native software services. 
• You act as an entrepreneur, proactively taking the initiatives capable to manage multiple priorities and different requirements. 
• It is easy for you to convince by your strong analytical thinking and data driven approach, your result and solution orientation in cooperation with strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to work with people cooperatively and effectively from all organizations and levels of leadership. 
• You have a modern and strong leadership style and skills, to empower, develop and inspire your team and partners.
