We are looking for a highly motivated Software Development Engineer to work as a member of the DevOps team supporting the company's overall development effort.

Responsibilities:

  • Development and maintenance of systems to support product development teams.
  • Development and maintenance of tools and software services to support automated Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Advocate for Test Driven Design and good software product design practices, including working with software development teams to ensure that quality gates are met.
  • Migration of legacy architectures to enable Cloud working paradigms such as SaaS.
  • Work without supervision on complex projects, given complete latitude for independent judgment and technical expertise.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or bachelor’s degree.
  • Proven experience in DevOps or Software Development or test automation in an agile environment.
  • Exposure to one or more tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, etc.
  • Development experience with any of Python, Java/Groovy, and batch.
  • Database design. MySQL, PostgreSQL, and general relational database proficiency.
  • Proficient in using: GitLab, Docker, Jenkins, Bamboo or another continuous build tool.
  • Proficient in using build tools such as Make, Cmake, Maven, and/or Gradle.
  • Experience an advantage using REST and SOAP APIs, JSON and XML.
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems, i.e. RedHat, CentOS, and SUSE.
  • Comfortable with design as well as implementation.
  • Good communication skills are essential with the ability to collaborate and influence others to improve code health, testing and maintainability.
