What your responsibilities are:

The Leader of Operational Excellence is an executive level role responsible for driving and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. This leader will oversee operations, ensuring the company achieves its strategic goals through efficient processes, quality management, and effective resource allocation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading large-scale operational transformations and fostering a culture of excellence.

Success in this role will depend on the person's ability to manage and coordinate across the greater Siemens organization to influence change without direct control. Assertively promoting oneself to plug into adjacent functions process to incorporate the direction and requirements important to the Siemens EDA business.

Support developing visionary keynote topics for Siemens EDA deployed at various industry and customer events.

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the operational excellence strategy in alignment with the Siemens EDA’s overall objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
  • Quality Management: Implement quality management protocols and standards to ensure internal systems and services meet or exceed customer(internal) expectations.
  • Resource Optimization: Optimize the use of resources, including personnel, technology, and capital, to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Change Management: Lead change management efforts to support the adoption of new processes and systems across the organization.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Business Units and Sales Regions), including finance, human resources, and IT, to drive operational improvements.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks to ensure business continuity and resilience.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to executive leadership on the progress and impact of operational excellence initiatives.

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (ideally at software business)
  • 10+ years of finance or operations experience, including cost management.
  • Experience within Siemens, Electronic Design Automation industry, or a similar/connected technological industry
  • Ability to assess current state processes and influence/implement improvement
  • Experience with product management and event marketing functions
  • Great project management, analytical and problem-solving skills — scope work, drive execution and deliver on tight timeframes while working with collaborators
  • Team leadership experience including influencing a matrixed organization to benefit Siemens EDA requirements
  • A bias to action and a performance mindset
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
    • Strong skills in cross-functional collaboration with engineering, design, sales and marketing teams
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Strong familiarity with the Electronic Design Automation industry and how the technologies impact other industries, including trending technical direction
    • Basic understanding of AI & machine learning concepts and data processing.
  • Business Acumen:
    • Ability to align product strategies with overall business goals.
    • Understanding of unique value propositions.
  • Analytical Skills:
    • Ability to analyze data and metrics to inform product decisions and improvements.

    The salary range for this position is $200,800 to $361,500 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.  Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. In addition, this position is eligible for time off in accordance with Company policies, including paid sick leave, paid parental leave, PTO (for non-exempt employees) or non-accrued flexible vacation (for exempt employees).
