HPC team consists of highly knowledgeable and motivated individuals who can design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver solutions. We also have the opportunities to work directly with various strategic Semiconductor/Tech Companies and EDA partners.
The selected candidate with primary focus on supporting Semiconductor Manufacturers and IC Design Houses within the APAC region, supporting our HPC Product line for High Performance Computing (HPC) domains.
Key Responsibilities:
? Provision, Configure, Deploy and Support HPC products as well as our supporting products at
Major & Strategic Customers.
? Help customers solve technical issues while using our job scheduling products (Grid Engine,
Accelerator(NC) & PBS Pro).
? Customer facing - Should be able to understand the problem statement and deliver fixes or
provide suggestions.
? Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to job scheduling and cluster performance.
? Develop and maintain scripts and tools using TCL, Bash or Python.
? Become primary technical liaison to designated strategic customers
? Assist with testing and validation of products as part of the extended development team
? Communicate and document bug fixes and updates internally
The ideal candidate should possess a strong combination of the following experiences, attributes & qualifications
? A must - Strong proficiency in Linux systems, and scripting (Unix/Linux shells, TCL, Bash, Python).
? Hands-on with HPC system administration and issue tracking and problem-solving ability.
? Expertise in networking, filesystems, and parallel filesystems.
? Experience with HPC workload managers (NC, Grid Engine, PBS Pro LSF, SLURM, etc.) and
containers (Docker or Podman).
? Familiarity with debugging tools (gdb, valgrind, gstack).
? Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP, UDP) and security tools/practices (SSH, OpenSSL,
SELinux, AppArmor, firewalls).
? Strong analytical and debugging skills (e.g., analyzing system and application logs, strace, lsof,
gdb, gstack).
? Experience with SQL, PostgreSQL, and enterprise level data intensive applications.
? Availability for occasional travel.
Background and Experience:
? Bachelors, Masters degree in Computer Science or related field.
? 3+ years experience in HPC system administration.
? Experience with HPC/EDA job schedulers (NC, Grid Engine, PBS Pro LSF, SLURM, etc.) and
EDA CAD environment is a huge plus.
? Excellent Verbal & Written Communication Skills (English, Mandarin) are a must have.
