Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation, and manufacture of products across many different industries. The R&D team is looking a summer interns to work as a C++ Development Engineer.

The SSP is our formal internship programs at SIEMENS Software. You will be mentored by guides and work directly with costumers to create direct business impact and again invaluable professional experience!
The program is a 2 months summer internship in July/August 2026. There will be opportunity to learn and contribute in a variety of areas of the software development process, with emphasis on a number of achievable projects to both encourage your development and deliver something useful.
Responsibilities:
- Support the design, development, and maintenance of software components using C++.
- Contribute to building clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
- Assist in designing and integrating APIs and software interfaces.
- Read, understand, and implement requirements from technical documentation, standards, and design specifications.
- Participate in debugging, testing, and performance improvement activities.
- Collaborate with team members in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Help document software design decisions, implementation details, and development workflows.
Qualifications:
- 3rd and 4rth undergraduate students in Computer Engineering, Electronics/CS and Communications Engineering, or a related field.
- Good knowledge of C++ programming.
- Good understanding of software engineering best practices, including object-oriented design and programming (OOP).
- Ability to read and understand technical documents, specifications, and standards.
- Strong API-oriented mindset, with awareness of designing clear, scalable, and maintainable interfaces.
- Good problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and work in a collaborative development environment.
- Basic understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Familiarity with debugging and troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge of Git or other version control systems is a plus.
- Exposure to software architecture, design patterns, or unit testing is a plus.
- Team player and willing to collaborate within a team environment.
- Highly developed communication and presentation skills.
