Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position in Santa Clara, CA is $172,022- $256,400 per year and this role may be eligible to earn incentive compensation. Duties: Responsible for the development of scalable, multithreaded solutions using modern C++ to predict and rectify defects in the chip manufacturing process for memory devices; development and enhancement of the machine learning library of Calibre Design Systems (chip design verification and optimization tool) using advanced C++ and Python; working on projects related to Optical Proximity Correction using advanced C++. May telecommute up to 60% of the time. [Hybrid role]
Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 60 months of experience in the job offered or in a Senior Software Engineer-related occupation.
Alternatively, employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 36 months of experience in the job offered or in a Senior Software Engineer-related occupation.
Position requires experience in the following:
1. Program in C++ using data structures applicable to digital IC verification and optical proximity correction.
2. Training machine learning models for use in prediction and optimization problems.
3. Software engineering skills including the use of bug trackers and source code management tools.
4. Program in python to manipulate training data and other considerations in machine learning applications
