Position Overview
Develop sales strategies and technical deployments of Siemens EDA ICVS technologies in designing and verifying complex ASIC & FPGA designs for the most advanced Aerospace and Defense companies. This position brings the technical role to the Americas' Account team, based in the Los Angeles region of California. As a Functional Verification Application Engineer, you will be part of a team comprising of Account Manager, Technical Account Manager, Account Technology Manager, Product Engineers, and Product Specialists, contributing to increasing the deployment and adoption of Functional Verification products within North American customers, and developing new customers.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following activities
- Providing technical leadership for all ICVS technologies and solutions, contributing towards the execution of the pre/post sales strategy established by the account team.
- Uncovering, qualifying, and executing functional verification opportunities.
- Articulating customers’ technical requirements and influencing product engineering to shape product direction.
- Developing technical presentations, conducting demonstrations, evaluations, and benchmarks.
- Effectively communicating how Siemens EDA solutions will solve the customer’s problems.
- Building and maintaining ongoing positive relationships with customers.
- Working collaboratively with team members to ensure mutual success.
- Mentor and/or coach other junior AEs on the team.
Job Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of the IC design process, including EDA tool categories and vendor offerings
- BSEE, BSCS or related engineering discipline plus 7+ years of experience in the EDA, or Semiconductor field.
- MSEE, MSCS, or related engineering discipline plus 5+ years of experience in EDA, or Semiconductor field.
- A strong understanding of Design and Verification concepts in ASIC & FPGA flow is required.
- Expert in Advanced Verification methodologies & environments is essential.
- Expert in coding with Verilog/VHDL/SystemVerilog, UVM, PSL/SVA is mandatory.
- Experience with Verification IP, Formal & Emulation technology is a plus.
- Good presentation and communication skills are essential.
- Self-motivated and self-disciplined.
- Prior leadership roles or experiences are essential.
- US Citizenship is mandatory.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Role will be hybrid based out of Waltham, Massachusetts
- Will support discussions in various time zones, so virtual meetings outside of the home time zone will be necessary.
- Travel required to support customer engagements: 50%

The total cash compensation range for this position is $135,700 to $271,400 with 20% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
