About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Architect with deep expertise in Ethernet technology and a strong focus on design verification. In this role, you will define and drive advanced verification strategies, ensuring high-quality Ethernet VIP solutions that meet industry standards and customer requirements. You will actively participate in standards bodies, collaborate with customers to deliver robust verification solutions, and shape the future of Ethernet VIP development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and implementation of verification methodologies for Ethernet VIP solutions, ensuring scalability and robustness.
- Define and oversee test environments, stimulus generation, and coverage-driven verification for Ethernet protocols such as 800G, 1.6T, UEC and beyond.
- Develop scalable VIP frameworks leveraging UVM (Universal Verification Methodology), SystemVerilog, and formal verification techniques.
- Ensure VIP compliance with IEEE 802.3 Ethernet standards through rigorous validation, debugging, and customer-driven enhancements.
- Contribute to industry standards bodies, influencing the evolution of Ethernet protocols and verification methodologies.
- Engage directly with customers, understand their needs, and tailor VIP solutions for seamless integration into their verification environments.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor engineering teams, and drive best practices in Ethernet VIP development.
- Optimize simulation and emulation methodologies to enhance VIP performance, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and networking teams to align VIP development with broader verification strategies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Ethernet design verification, with proven expertise in Verification IP development.
- In-depth knowledge of Ethernet PHY/MAC layers, packet processing, and networking protocols.
- Strong hands-on experience with SystemVerilog, UVM, and scripting languages (Python, TCL, Perl).
- Expertise in verification methodologies, coverage analysis, and debugging techniques tailored for VIP development.
- Proven experience engaging with industry standards bodies, driving protocol advancements and verification practices.
- Strong customer focus with the ability to deliver VIP solutions that integrate seamlessly into customer environments.
- Familiarity with post-silicon validation, hardware bring-up, and lab debugging is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, leadership qualities, and cross-functional collaboration experience.

The salary range for this position is $154,600 to $247,300 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
