Cambridge, GBRWe are Siemens
Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation and manufacture of products across many different industries. Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
We are a small and close-knit team with members in Cambridge UK, Ames Iowa and Pune India.
Our remit is to build and support formats and toolkits that enable rich data exchange between Siemens Digital Industry’s products and between them and third-party applications. Consequently, we find ourselves at crossroads of collaboration between the different parts of the development organisation.
We have a relaxed and flexible working atmosphere and a culture of mutual respect and shared responsibility for getting the job done. Our modern office is centrally based, and benefits from a range of social activities.
How do we develop?
All the main toolkits are developed in C++ on Windows and supported on various platforms. The JT Toolkit facilitates creation and query of the JT 3-D visualisation format, and the PLM XML SDK supports handling of the PLM XML product structure and metadata format. Around these, we have a range of tools written in C++ and other languages to support building, testing and other software development functions.
