Position Overview:

Join the Calibre SONR team as a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Lead, driving innovation at the intersection of machine learning and semiconductor design. Calibre SONR seamlessly integrates machine learning models with core Calibre architecture to enhance productivity and precision in fab defect detection and diagnostics. You'll design and develop software for both internal and external products, lead major projects, mentor junior engineers, and consult with customers on future upgrades. This role offers a truly global scope and the opportunity to make a measurable impact on one of our most critical services while demonstrating technical excellence and strong leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement software for both internal and external products, exceeding customer expectations with a focus on quality and on-time delivery
• Ensure the overall functional quality of released products across all platforms and environments
• Lead major projects within the product area, providing technical guidance and promoting innovation
• Consult with customers on future upgrades and products, influencing technical direction based on market needs
• Provide high-level technical expertise, including in-depth software systems programming and analysis
• Mentor junior engineers, demonstrating independence and strong technical leadership

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in software development with specialization in data analysis and machine learning
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and share knowledge effectively

Preferred:

• Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with semiconductor design or EDA tools
• Track record of leading technical teams and mentoring engineers
• Experience with cloud-based machine learning platforms

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $33,500 to $67,000 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
