We're looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our Brightly team in Cairo, Egypt.

As a Senior QA Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in supporting our application platforms within the Engineering department. This is a prime opportunity for an ambitious test engineer to apply their experience, business insight, and architectural philosophies in managing projects and sprints.

Responsibilities:

• Lead quality initiatives and advocate for excellence in every deliverable.
• Use data-driven analysis and pragmatic decision-making to balance immediate needs with long-term solutions.
• Estimate tasks accurately and work independently while fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the test team.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, development managers, product managers, and scrum masters across global agile teams.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and challenge your team to do the same.
• Develop and maintain test scripts based on functional and technical designs, as well as perform ad hoc bug fix testing.
• Contribute to the selection, validation, and implementation of QA tools.
• Maintain a strong understanding of current technology and standards, recommend best practices, and share knowledge.
• Demonstrate knowledge of CI/CD implementation.
• Develop test cases, automation scripts, and perform testing while debugging code and providing comprehensive reports.
• Multitask and stay organized in a dynamic work environment.
• Lead continuous improvement processes, embrace change, and adapt quickly. Be a champion of innovation!

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science or related discipline
• Proven relevant work experience as a Senior in Quality Assurance, Test and Automation
• Cypress for Creating Basic Test Cases.
• JavaScript or Other supported Programming for Enhancing Test Cases.
• Mocha or other Supported Testing Framework for Grouping Test Cases, Prioritizing Test Cases, Executing Test Batches, and Generating Test Results.
• Cypress Dashboard for Parallel Test execution.
• Maven Integration for creating and maintaining Cypress Test Environment.
• Jenkins for Continuous Integration.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong ability to understand technical product architecture.
• Own product quality.
• Must have a very good understanding of Testing concepts and terminologies.
• Proven ability to effectively share knowledge and stay aware of current trends and technical advancements.
• Experience leading small to mid-sized teams is a plus.
• Working knowledge of agile methodologies.
• Strong communication, partnership, mentoring, team player.
• Experience in automation with open-source tools like Cypress.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Contributions to open-source projects, personal repositories, or participation in tech communities and meetups.
• Certifications in technology or agile methodologies.
