Plant Simulation is a leading discrete event simulation software within our cutting-edge Tecnomatix portfolio. It empowers engineers and planners across various industries to model, simulate, analyze, and optimize production systems and logistics processes. From individual machines to entire factories and global supply chains, Plant Simulation helps our customers virtually test and refine their manufacturing strategies, reduce bottlenecks, optimize material flow, and make data-driven decisions before implementing changes in the real world. As a Technical Writer for Plant Simulation, you will be instrumental in creating and maintaining high-quality online documentation that guides our users through the powerful features of our software. You will be the bridge between our development teams and our global user base, ensuring that our documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and easy to understand in both English and German.

You'll make a difference by:

  • Developing, writing, and maintaining accurate online documentation for Plant Simulation.
  • Collaborating closely with product managers, software developers, and quality assurance teams to understand product functionalities and gather necessary information.
  • Translating complex technical concepts into user-friendly language for various target audiences, from beginners to advanced users.
  • Creating and updating tutorials, user manuals, release notes, and context-sensitive help.
  • Ensuring consistency in terminology, style, and tone across all documentation.
  • Managing documentation projects, including planning, scheduling, and tracking progress.
  • Continuously improving documentation processes and tools.

Your success is grounded in:

  • Exceptional Writing Skills: Proven ability to write clear, concise, and grammatically correct technical documentation in both English and German.
  • Technical Aptitude: A strong understanding of software development processes and the ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts. Experience with simulation software, manufacturing processes, or logistics is a significant plus.
  • User-Centric Approach: A passion for understanding user needs and translating them into effective documentation.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Eagerness to tackle challenges and find innovative solutions for documentation needs.
  • Tool Proficiency: Experience with documentation tools (e.g. authoring tools, content management systems, version control systems).

Our Benefits & Rewards

The salary range for this position is €60,500 to €96,800 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
