Simulation and Test Solutions (STS) - Fluids and Thermal
Software Development Intern
The Mechanical Analysis Division is seeking qualified candidates for our QA Testing/Software Developer intern position. Candidates will work within an Agile development team focused on developing an award-winning CFD thermal simulation solution. Candidates must be able to work as an effective team member, contribute to team decisions, and support peers closely in the software development process.
As a intern working on alongside our Mechanical Analysis team, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Conduct QA testing on new software
- Develop unit test(s)
- Develop new software in C# using WPF and interface design features related to the next generation product solution
Organization Qualifications:
- Pursing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Available to work 40 hours per week and be online no later than 8:30 AM.
- One class may be taken in the afternoon or evening during each semester as long as work performance does not suffer. Classes cannot be taken in the morning hours.
- Candidates should have exposure to software development with experience designing, coding, and debugging.
Additional desirable knowledge:
- Software development process in an Agile Scrum development environment
- Software development using Visual Studio and C#
- Experience with using Git, Jira, and Bitbucket
- Operating systems: Windows
- Knowledge of Solidworks or other 3D Mechanical software

The hourly range for this position is $18.00 to $50.00. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location, as well as degree type and relevant education.
