Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position in Wilsonville, OR is $126,100 - $227,000 per year and this role may be eligible to earn incentive compensation. Duties: Working with the Calibre Resolution Enhancement Technology (RET) tools to support our rapid growth and expanding research and development activities; supporting OPC and Advanced RET deployment at leading-edge manufacturing facilities; developing modeling solutions for patterning processes; defining and supporting the development of enabling RET capabilities for next-generation lithography processes; involvement with software engineering, product marketing, and customers; providing in-depth technical support and training to customers; defining and characterizing new capabilities; supporting research partnerships; and working closely with Product Marketing to communicate the value and benefits of new features and capabilities. The duties will include research activities such as: performing advanced resist chemistry interaction studies and developing physical models for photoresist behavior; researching plasma-surface interactions for accurate etch process modeling; developing rigorous electromagnetic field solutions for optical modeling; conducting research on chemically amplified resist kinetics and exposure mechanisms; and conducting research on Machine Learning methodologies applied to lithography process modeling for use in Optical Proximity Correction. In fulfillment of the duties, this role will be involved in the following processes: Etch Process Modeling (i.e. develop models for etch selectivity and anisotropy and implements models for micro-loading effects and aspect ratio dependent etching); Resist Modeling (i.e. implement Implements advanced chemically amplified resist (CAR) models and develop acid diffusion models for post-exposure bake (PEB) processes); and Optical Modeling for Lithography (i.e. Develop thin film interference models for complex stack materials and create polarization effect models for immersion lithography). The duties will include working with advanced lithography simulation software suites; utilizing high-performance computing clusters for electromagnetic field calculations; operating advanced metrology tools for model calibration. Working with systems that develop integrated lithography-etch simulation platforms, create automated model calibration systems, and implement advanced process window analysis systems.
Requirements: Employer will accept a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related field and 60 months of experience in the job offered or in a Senior Product Engineer-related occupation. Position requires experience in the following: Modeling of semiconductor patterning processes, including optical lithography, EUV lithography, photoresist modeling, etch proximity modeling, and mask process modeling. Resist modeling or working in photochemical processes, including chemically amplified resists, metal oxide resist, negative tone development resist, and negative tone imaging resists. Working with optimization methods, including genetic optimization methods, stochastic gradient decent methods, global optimization methods, and local optimizers – gradient decent. Statistical analysis using standard methods, such as JMP software. Scripting languages (TCL and Python) to automate workflows and analysis functions. Project Management. May telecommute from a commutable distance. 30% domestic and internation travel required.
