SENIOR LEADER: EDA PRODUCT INFORMATION DESIGN AND DELIVERY - 490368
Wilsonville, ORSiemens Digital Industries Software is driving transformation to enable a digital enterprise where engineering, manufacturing and electronics design meet tomorrow. Our solutions help companies of all sizes create and leverage digital twins that provide organizations with new insights, opportunities and levels of automation to drive innovation.
We are a leading global software company dedicated to the world of computer aided design, 3D modeling and simulation— helping innovative global manufacturers design better products, faster! With the resources of a large company, and the energy of a software start-up, we have fun together while creating a world class software portfolio. Our culture encourages creativity, welcomes fresh thinking, and focuses on growth, so our people, our business, and our customers can achieve their full potential.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced leader to drive strategy, operations, and execution of technical documentation across a broad EDA (Electronic Design Automation) portfolio. This role leads a multi‑country organization, including existing first‑line managers, and is accountable for content quality, delivery models, team capability, and measurable business impact. The leader will guide transformation toward AI‑enabled, context‑rich information creation and consumption aligned with advanced design flows, including 3D IC, and cloud/on‑prem/API distribution patterns.
Key Responsibilities:
* Improve, standardize, and monitor end‑to‑end documentation processes across planning, authoring, review, localization, and publication.
* Define consistent success metrics and quality gates aligned to release cadence and customer usage patterns.
* Refine resourcing and load‑balancing models; strengthen cross‑product collaboration and capacity planning.
* Partner with engineering and product management to align documentation scope with cloud, on‑prem, and API‑driven delivery models.
* Lead adoption of emerging technologies, including structured authoring, component content management, AI‑assisted authoring, and semantic tagging.
* Establish and govern technical content re‑use frameworks (DITA, modular topics, conrefs/keyrefs, taxonomy metadata).
* Develop career paths, skills models, and recruiting practices across distributed teams.
* Integrate documentation with curriculum development and customer support workflows to provide a unified customer experience.
* Manage budget, vendor partnerships, and technology investments.
Position Requirements:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferred) in Electronics, Electrical/Computer Engineering, VLSI/SoC Design, Computer Science, Technical Communication, or a related field.
* 5+ years of professional experience in technical communication, customer success, curriculum development, or related fields.
* 5+ years in the EDA domain—as a vendor or user in semiconductor design environments.
* 5+ years leading teams of information developers/technical writers, including global or distributed teams.
* Hands‑on experience with structured authoring systems (DITA, CCMS, doc‑as‑code workflows).
* Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience in one or more of the following EDA domains: RTL‑to‑GDSII flows, verification, physical design, AMS/mixed‑signal, or semiconductor manufacturing concepts.
* Experience with AI‑driven content technologies such as retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), semantic search, or automated content grounding.
* Experience with structured authoring, taxonomy design, or metadata governance for technical content.
* Familiarity with content pipelines (CCMS, doc‑as‑code, CI/CD), API documentation, or large‑scale HTML/PDF publishing.
* Experience in localization workflows, accessibility standards, or terminology management.
* Demonstrated ability to partner with engineering/product teams to develop transformation roadmaps for technical communication.
