We're looking for a Senior Product Owner to join our Brightly team in Cairo, Egypt.

Join our dynamic team at Brightly as a Senior Product Owner, where you'll lead the innovation in developing our ETL Engineering tools and processes. This role offers a unique opportunity to be involved in the creative early stages of application development while enjoying the stability of an established company. You'll play a crucial role in transforming our data migration solutions to meet client needs and drive business value. Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, ETL engineers, and technical consultants, to gather and define product requirements.
  • Backlog Management: Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring it reflects current business needs and priorities.
  • Product Roadmap: Assist in developing and communicating the product roadmap, aligning it with strategic business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Sprint Planning: Work with the ETL Engineering team to plan sprints, ensuring the team understands the priorities and requirements for each iteration.
  • User Stories and Acceptance Criteria: Write clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria to guide the development team in delivering high-quality features.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on product progress and gathering feedback to inform future development.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by gathering feedback, analyzing performance metrics, and making data-driven decisions to enhance the product.
  • Agile Practices: Champion agile methodologies and practices within the team to ensure efficient and effective product development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Senior in product management or a related role, focusing on software development.
  • Proficiency in backlog/roadmap management tools such as Jira or AHA!
  • Experience in developing user stories and acceptance criteria and communicating business value to the engineering team.
  • Strong evidence of working with engineering to communicate commitments and deliver results.
  • Experience in Agile processes and principles.
  • Superb oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently across all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze data to support decision-making.
  • Experience working with and influencing product development teams, driving them toward a common customer and business vision through to delivery.
  • A results-oriented, proactive, and self-sufficient work ethic.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in the data management or ETL space.
  • Certification in Product Management or Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)).
  • Knowledge of cloud-based ETL tools and services, particularly AWS Glue.
  • Technical background with experience in software development or data engineering.
