Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position in Plano, TX and various and unanticipated locations throughout U.S. is $153,171.00 - $248,400.00 per year and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. Duties: Performing pre-sales activities and consulting sales. Defining and executing software evaluation plans and executing ‘proof-of-concept’ demonstration projects. Undertaking business development for the Chemicals Industry Strategy, which includes working closely with the Sales team to provide technical input and guidance. Developing and nurturing prospects to achieve software and consulting sales. Identifying and targeting sales opportunities and new leads, making targeted sales prospecting calls to existing customers and new prospects where appropriate. Preparing and conducting training courses. Providing marketing support, including technical assistance in preparation of marketing materials (e.g. white papers); Presenting at and attending trade shows and conferences; Inputting customer and market requirements into new product development; Gathering requirements, user feedback and enhancement requests; and Proposing formulations for new models based on internal and client requirements by applying chemical engineering principles. Maintaining and updating key solutions, technical, industry and communication skills.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field and 60 months of experience in Presales Solutions Consultant -related occupation or related field.
Position requires experience in the following:
1. Translating customer requirements into commercial software solutions. 2. Using chemical engineering concepts including chemical reactions, separations, and heat transfer. 3. Using sequential modular and equation-oriented process simulation tools. 4. Developing first-principle mathematical models for chemical process industries.
50% International and Domestic Travel Required. Telecommuting is permissible pursuant to company policy. [Remote role].
