About the role:

We are seeking a talented AI Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge copilot and agent services using Large Language Models (LLMs). Our aim is to create copilots that provide intelligent, conversational experiences and agents that will redefine how our users interact with our software.

What you'll be doing:
As an AI Software Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain copilot and agent solutions powered by LLM technology. Your responsibilities include:
• Assessing the current capabilities of agent services in the Siemens DI ecosystem for our adoption
• Collaborating with company-wide cross-functional teams to reflect our team's requirements and help extending central services features when necessary, using the contribution model.
• Collaborating with product teams for their adoption of agent frameworks; support integration of UI, help setting up product specific agents, ensure high quality by keeping up with the latest AI model capabilities.
• Ensuring the copilots and agents are scalable and maintain high performance
• Helping the transition of the organization towards AI-assisted products by training and upskilling product teams.
• Writing clean, testable code and engaging in peer code reviews to maintain high standards of software quality.
• Assessing service performance, troubleshooting issues, and deploying fixes to ensure seamless user experiences.
• Staying current with industry trends in agent development and LLM advancements, applying this knowledge to improve our service offerings.
What you'll bring:
• Master's Degree in Computer Science, AI, or a related technical field, with relevant experience in copilot/agent development.
• Solid understanding of and experience with LLM frameworks and conversational AI technologies.
• Proficient in programming languages relevant to AI and copilot/agent development, such as Python.
• Experience with multi-team, collaborative software development including source control and collaborative design and code reviews
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their AI-related services and tools is a plus.
• Experience in deploying and maintaining applications in a 24x7 production environment, including handling scalability and security considerations is beneficial.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, a keen eye for optimization, and a passion for learning and implementing emerging technologies.
• Excellent collaborative skills for working in a highly interdisciplinary subject.
