We are seeking an experienced and visionary AI Architect to join our dynamic Global Delivery Network (GDN) team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supervising the implementation of scalable, robust, and innovative Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) solutions across various Siemens business units. You will act as a technical leader, guiding teams from conception to deployment, ensuring that our AI initiatives align with business objectives and deliver tangible value. Key Responsibilities
AI Strategy & Roadmap:
• Collaborate with business partners, product managers, and data scientists to understand business needs and translate them into actionable AI/ML strategies and technical roadmaps.
• See opportunities for AI innovation and application across Siemens' diverse portfolio.
Solution Design & Architecture:
• Design end-to-end AI/ML solution architectures, including data pipelines, model training, deployment, monitoring, and MLOps frameworks.
• Select appropriate AI/ML technologies, platforms, and algorithms (e.g., deep learning, reinforcement learning, NLP, computer vision) based on project requirements and constraints.
• Ensure architectural designs are scalable, secure, reliable, and cost-effective.
Technical Leadership & Guidance:
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data scientists, ML engineers, and software developers.
• Establish standards for AI development, model governance, versioning, and lifecycle management.
• Conduct technical reviews and provide constructive feedback on AI/ML models and implementations.
Prototyping & Proof-of-Concept Development:
• Lead or contribute to the development of prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate AI/ML approaches and demonstrate feasibility.
Technology Evaluation & Adoption:
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI/ML research, tools, and platforms.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend their adoption where appropriate to enhance our capabilities.
Collaboration & Communication:
• Work closely with multi-functional teams, including IT, cybersecurity, legal, and domain experts.
• Communicate complex AI concepts and technical designs clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ethical AI & Responsible AI:
• Ensure that AI solutions are developed and deployed responsibly, adhering to ethical guidelines, privacy regulations, and fairness principles.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience: 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3-5 years specifically in designing and implementing AI/ML solutions in a lead or architect role.
• Technical Expertise:
• Programming: Strong proficiency in Python (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras).
• MLOps: Hands-on experience with MLOps tools and practices for model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, Azure ML, AWS SageMaker, Google AI Platform).
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, GCP) and their AI/ML services.
• Data Engineering: Understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, SQL/NoSQL databases).
• Architecture: Experience in design scalable, resilient, and secure AI architectures.
• Algorithms: Deep understanding of various machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and deep learning techniques.
• Problem Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex, ambiguous challenges.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions, influence decisions, and mentor team members.
Preferred Skills & Experience
• Experience with domain-specific AI applications (e.g., industrial automation, predictive maintenance, smart infrastructure, medical imaging).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for ML models.
• Knowledge of edge AI/ML deployment strategies.
• Certifications in cloud AI/ML platforms.
