We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic Calibre Product Group. If you're a "jack of all trades" with a passion for technology, a knack for problem-solving, and a desire to support a world-class engineering team, we want to hear from you!
In this exciting role, you'll be the go-to technical resource for new and existing Calibre employees, ensuring they have the tools and support needed to excel. You'll wear many hats, from hands-on technical assistance to project coordination and documentation, making every day unique and impactful.
What you'll be doing:
* Onboarding Champion: Be the friendly face that welcomes new Calibre team members! You'll manage the technical onboarding process, ensuring new hires have their laptops, accounts, and all necessary software configured and ready to go from day one.
* Technical Troubleshooting & Support: Provide comprehensive IT support for the Calibre team, troubleshooting hardware (laptops, peripherals) and some software issues, working with other IT organizations and assisting with various technical challenges to keep our engineers productive.
* Project Coordination: Assist with various IT-related projects, coordinating tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring timely completion. Experience with Scrum or other agile project management methodologies is a big plus!
* Atlassian Administrator & Documentarian:
* Confluence Administrator: Maintain and update critical documentation within Confluence, ensuring information is accurate, accessible, and easy to understand for the Calibre team.
* Jira Backlog Administrator: Support the Calibre team with Jira backlog management, helping to organize, prioritize, and track tasks and issues efficiently.
* Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with other IT teams, engineering groups, and stakeholders to ensure seamless support and efficient resolution of technical issues.
What you'll bring:
* Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar technical role.
* Technical Acumen:
* Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
* Familiarity with common office productivity suites (e.g., Microsoft Office 365, basic scripting in Python a plus).
* Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
* Atlassian Experience: Hands-on experience with Atlassian products, particularly Confluence (documentation, space administration) and Jira (issue tracking, backlog management).
* Project Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and contribute to project success. Experience with Scrum or other agile methodologies is highly desirable.
* Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. You'll be explaining technical concepts to non-technical users, writing clear documentation, and collaborating with diverse teams.
* Customer Service Orientation: A friendly, patient, and helpful demeanor with a commitment to providing outstanding support to our internal customers.
* Adaptability: The ability to learn new technologies quickly and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
