Position Overview
As an IT Financial Operations Analyst, you will play a critical role in the execution of financial processes for
a global IT organization. Your contributions will directly impact budget planning and management,
optimization of costs, and informed financial decision-making by the IT leadership team. Your primary
responsibility will be to provide financial operational services for staff in Asia (APAC) and Europe (EMEA),
as a part of a global Financial Operations (FinOps) team. You will work closely with IT teams, vendors, and
stakeholders to ensure efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial objectives.
This position reports to the manager responsible for IT Financial Operations (FinOps) for the Digital
Industries IT Digital Experience organization commonly known as DI IT DEX.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities and deliverables for this position:
? As part of the FnW Purchasing Team, track and submit purchase requests needed by any team
member in the DI IT DEX organization. The focus would be on requests submitted in the APAC
region but would also perform activities that support purchases globally. (Equivalent team
members are already based in the USA.) These activities would be executed across all DI SW
Financial systems: SAP P03 (PLM), SAP ECC (EDA), SAP S4 (Sherpa X)
? Monitor expense activities from initial request to invoice payment for the DI IT DEX organization.
o Purchase requisitions and approvals.
o Goods received.
o Invoice and payment submissions.
? Participate in audits of purchases to identify cost savings, resulting in either OPW savings or DI IT
savings.
? Additional financial operations tasks as required. This may include any or all of the following:
o Financial Reporting: As requested, prepare regular financial reports, dashboards, and
presentations for IT leadership and other stakeholders, providing insights into budget
utilization and cost-saving opportunities.
o Expense Analysis: Analyze and dissect IT expenses, identifying trends, patterns, and
potential areas for improvement.
o Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and
regulatory requirements while implementing governance controls for cloud and
infrastructure expenses.
o Budget Lifecycle: Assist the IT FinOps team in creation and tracking of IT budgets for
cloud services and infrastructure technology, including forecasting, tracking, and
variance analysis.
o Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, procurement, and
finance, to align financial strategies with overall business objectives.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
? Proven experience and training in financial analysis and budget management, preferably in the IT
sector.
? Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
? Strong communication skills (Written and verbal) with English language proficiency and
experience communicating with non-native English speakers.
? Familiarity and experience using business intelligence reporting tools (QlikView, MS Power BI,
Tableau, Microsoft office reporting tools).
? Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, contract management databases, asset
management, agreement compliance and financial systems).
? Knowledge of IT procurement processes and vendor management.
? Familiarity with IT products and service providers for cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and
infrastructure technologies, subscriptions, and terminology.
? Understanding of IT governance, compliance, and risk management.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Below are knowledge/skills, education, and experiences that are preferred but NOT required for this
position.
? 5+ Years' experience in an IT Financial/Procurement role
? 5+ Years' experience working with Siemens Asset Management and Procurement Systems
? Expertise in use of Excel: Pivot tables, Graphing/charting, Formulas
? Experience building dashboards for internal reporting and consumption by cost center managers
