Responsibilities
Do you have proven documentation and information developer experience in the EDA world? Have you worked with RTL hardware and software engineers? Do you have a talent for learning complex processes and explaining them simply? If yes to these questions, consider a career as an experienced Information Developer for Siemens’ Electronic Design Automation (EDA) products. This position covers the industry-leading, innovative Embedded Analytics product line.
As an experienced Information Developer, you will work closely with a talented development staff and be responsible for documenting and maintaining new hardware and software technologies as well as proven product lines. Responsibilities include creating user guides, application notes, reviewing technical marketing collateral, and other reference material that meets the requirements of our design, verification, validation and software customers. You will contribute to and drive the development and improvement of documentation access for customers worldwide.
Candidates will have the following experience:
- Developing persona-specific documentation for embedded hardware and software products, minimum 5 years of experience.
- Documenting products that operate on for multiple platforms including Linux-based operating systems
- Developing documentation using docs-as-code methodology (including RsT, AsciiDoc, Markdown, XML)
- Proficient with source control tools including Git/GitLab and document management systems
- Scripting expertise including Python and JavaScript
- BS/MS/PhD in a technical degree (such as Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Applied Math; equivalent experience considered)
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders including technical development engineers, product management team and marketing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills with ability to write concisely and in an easy to understand manner for a global audience
- Outstanding investigative research instincts and a desire to learn new technologies
Other desirable skills include:
- Knowledge of RISC-V processors, SoCs or embedded systems.
- Ability to read and understand code including embedded C, C++, Python, JSON, XML, HTML
- Experience working with standard product and project methodologies
- Experience with documenting APIs
- Experience with creating technical marketing content
- Experience with video content development for technical information

Location:
- This position is based in Cambridge but applications from anywhere in the UK will be considered.
