Position Summary:

This role leads the development, adoption, and ongoing optimization of Sales Finance's digital deal enablement tool, "Deal Modeler" and the ecosystem it supports— focusing primarily on EDA Finance. It combines product ownership, FP&A domain expertise, and cross-functional leadership to drive efficiency, governance, and data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Ownership & Tool Development

  • Own and drive enhancements for the Deal Modeler platform and related finance tools
  • Partner with IT and cross-functional teams to prioritize and deliver system improvements
  • Ensure production-level support, issue resolution, and system stability

Process Transformation & Standardization

  • Redesign and standardize non-standard deal (NSD) and financial processes
  • Transition legacy workflows (e.g., SharePoint/Excel-based tracking) into scalable systems
  • Define governance, controls, and approval flows for deals and pricing

Dashboarding, Reporting & Insights

  • Own finance dashboards (adoption, audit, deal tracking, controls)
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and usability across stakeholders
  • Deliver insights into deal pipeline, approvals, and compliance

Controls, Governance & Compliance

  • Develop and manage controls around deal approval and material rights analysis
  • Monitor compliance gaps and drive corrective actions
  • Provide regular reporting to leadership on risks and exceptions

Training & Change Management

  • Lead global training initiatives for finance users and stakeholders
  • Maintain training materials (videos, documentation, chatbot content)
  • Drive adoption across regions and functions

Stakeholder & Program Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration (SFM, CFR, IT, Sales Ops, etc.)
  • Align stakeholders on roadmap, rollout strategy, and adoption goals
  • Facilitate regional & global workshops, working sessions, and governance forums

Automation & Operational Efficiency

  • Identify and implement automation opportunities (notifications, reporting, workflows)
  • Ensure timely updates from field finance (SFMs) through automated reminders
  • Continuously improve operational efficiency and data quality

Qualifications:

Required Experience

  • Strong FP&A or finance operations background
  • 10+ years of experience with financial systems, dashboards, and data tools
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong problem-solving and process design skills

Preferred Experience

  • Deal structuring / revenue recognition topics
  • Data modeling / system integrations
  • Background in digital transformation or product ownership

  • Adoption rate of Deal Modeler and related tools
  • Reduction in manual/Excel-based processes
  • Data quality and completeness of deal information
  • Stakeholder satisfaction and engagement
  • Timeliness and accuracy of reporting and controls
