Internship topic: Electro-Thermal Modeling of Electrical Machine Coils.
Your Mission
Within the "Electric Physics" development team, you are responsible for developing one or more detailed models of electrical machine coils using an LPTN (Lumped Parameter Thermal Network) approach within the Simcenter Amesim modeling and simulation platform. You will contribute to improving the export process between Simcenter E-Machine Design (electrical machine design software) and Simcenter Amesim.
In this context:
- You will conduct a scientific review of thermal and electrical models of electrical machine coils. With particular focus on the innovative "hairpin winding” system.
- You will propose one or more coil modeling solutions within the existing Simcenter Amesim software tool.
- You will develop and test this new solution, coded in Python and by assembling elementary building blocks in the Simcenter Amesim software.
This 6-month internship is based in Lyon (69) and is available from January 2025.
