Siemens Digital Industries Software is seeking Regional Site Security Manager to join our People & Organization (P&O) team.
About the role
Location: Shannon, Ireland
As a Regional Site Security Manager, you will be responsible for the site security management, as well as supporting Global Director Site Security, Health and Safety. The Site Security Manager is responsible for providing on-going support, analysis, planning, implementation, and deployment of access control infrastructure (both hardware & software). This role will be responsible for assisting with the support of business site site security teams/coordinators, as well as oversight of, ensuring and continually assessing and improvement of the security of Siemen’s Digital Industries Software facilities. The Site Security Manager will be confident, decisive, influential and innovative manager who can communicate a compelling and comprehensive set of outcomes to be achieved. The Site Security Manager will have the presence and influence to define and enforce high standards for programs and implement and monitor at all levels.
Area of responsibility
Site Security and Safeguarding:
- Directs, develops and assists with the implementation of policies, procedures, standards, training and methods for identifying and protecting information, personnel, property, facilities, operations or materials from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, or loss.
- Manages and/or coordinates services including, but not limited to, alarm monitoring, access control, incident detection and mitigation communication and awareness, delivery functions, theft and property and deterrence functions.
- Will lead team of remote Contractual Security team to operate security systems, manage projects, and support regulatory, industry and contractual audits and common criteria, while maintaining compliance with industry best practices.
- Communicate issues and recommendations for resolution to Global Director Site Security, Health and Safety.
- Assist with coordination and implementation of site security site plans and operations to ensure protection of all employees, visitors, vendors, site plant, assets, and infrastructure.
- Protection responsibilities will include, may include workplace violence prevention, access control systems, video surveillance, and emergency protocols (e.g., disaster recovery, text messaging alerts, and employee safety verification procedures).
Technical Systems Management Support:
- Assists and supports with design, develop and implement solutions for security system installations, upgrades, repairs and change-outs.
- Conducts regular on-site/remote surveys at sites within region or as assigned to ensure ongoing compliance to security standards, policies and procedures.
- Ensures compliance to Siemens Global Security systems and processes and all supporting tools, technology and organization components.
- Provides consultation, integration coordination, access control systems, CCTV systems and related site security equipment.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and security integrators partnering in the development of the Siemens Digital Industries Software systems.
Drives Management and Process Improvement:
- Provides guidance to the site security, global real estate onsite staff and line level management in identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining security processes to reduce risks, respond to incidents, and limit exposure to liability resulting to reduce financial loss to the organization.
- Develops, manages, and maintains security related processes, procedures, training, and improvement plans.
Policy Development, Training and Communication:
- Assist in the development of a well-trained contractual Security Team with core competencies necessary to manage risk, stay ahead of security threats, and position team to effectively respond to incidents.
- Conduct security-related training sessions for employees regarding loss prevention and site security topics to expand their awareness of security standards, policies and procedures.

Monitoring and Audits:
- Monitors and evaluates site performance including all compliance standards and activities as outlined by Siemens’s corporate compliance team pertaining to standards on key security issues and programs, recommends corrective action standard operating procedures.
- Manage Siemens’s internal and external site security and access control audits to ensure that organizational personnel are adhering to established policy and practices and recommend appropriate actions to correct deficiencies.
- Investigations Regarding Security Threats and Potential Unlawful Activity.
- Investigate as assigned and review potential security threats and allegations.
- Conduct investigations, collect and analyze information, interview parties, and summarize conclusions and findings in comprehensive investigation report.
Your qualifications
- Prefer a bachelor's degree in Criminal justice, Law enforcement, or related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of five years of experience in corporate security management and work experience in a broad range of corporate security areas including protection of personnel, risk assessment methodology, site security and investigations.
- Prefer a minimum of two years' experience with a major corporation, global Fortune 500 or technology industries preferred.
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP), or site Security Professional (PSP) certifications preferred (North America’s based candidates requirement only).
- Workplace Violence and/or Business Continuity experience.
- Strong familiarity with data bases (querying and analyzing).
- Exceptional customer service/relationship skills.
- Proven leadership/management skills.
- Experience in development and implementation of security policies and procedures, preferred. Communication and contacts within government, law enforcement and industry trade groups, preferred.
- Able to work effectively with customers, suppliers and contractors to ensure effective security throughout the value chain.
How do we work ?
You can work both remote or hybrid (depending of your location). Schedule flexibility, with ability to be on call 24/7. Candidate must have a proven ability to work independently and be able to follow escalation procedures as outlined in terms of standards regarding critical or emergency situations. Role include up to 30% travel (domestic and international).
