About the role:

We are seeking a motivated DevOps Engineer to support the deployment and operation of cloud and on-premises platforms. This role focuses on hands-on deployments across customer and internal environments, including infrastructure setup, Kubernetes-based platforms and applications, and high-availability configurations. This role may involve travelling to customer locations or supporting customers remotely. The ideal candidate should have experience in DevOps, SRE, system administration, or deployment/support roles.

What you'll be doing:

Deploy applications and HPC platforms in: Customer environments (on-premises, private cloud, hybrid)

Internal Dev, QA, and staging environments

VM provisioning and configuration

Cluster setup and validation (Kubernetes, OpenShift, OpenStack)

Environment readiness checks prior to deployment

Assist in configuring and deploying HPC-style environments, including Multi-node clusters, Compute and storage node configurations, Support OpenShift/OpenStack deployments and resolve installation issues

Assist in configuring and validating: High Availability (HA) setups, Load balancing and failover mechanisms

Ensure deployed environments meet reliability and uptime requirements

Debug and resolve: Deployment failures (Kubernetes / OpenShift / OpenStack)

VM, network, and configuration issues

CI/CD pipeline failures

Provide initial issue triage and escalate when required

Develop and maintain: Deployment scripts, Automation for repeatable installations

Contribute to: Standardized deployment processes, Improved reliability and efficiency

Set up monitoring and alerting (Grafana, Prometheus)

Validate system health and performance post-deployment

Create and maintain: Deployment runbooks, Installation and troubleshooting guides

Support: Customer onboarding and environment setup, Knowledge transfer activities

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field
• Relevant experience in DevOps
• Hands-on experience with one of the cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, or OCI)
• Experience with virtual machine provisioning and configuration
• Basic understanding of distributed systems and HPC environments
• Linux administration (mandatory)
• Docker and Kubernetes fundamentals (pods, deployments, troubleshooting)
• CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions)
• Exposure to on-prem and hybrid deployments, including at least one of: OpenShift, OpenStack, Kubernetes on Public Cloud, bare metal, or private cloud
• High Availability (HA) concepts (failover, redundancy, load balancing)
• Networking basics (DNS, ingress, routing, firewall fundamentals)
• Exposure to Infrastructure/Configuration as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Grafana, Prometheus)
• Basic scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar)
• Awareness of security basics (certificates, secrets management)
• Experience with Helm, ArgoCD, or GitOps workflows
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical mindset
• Willingness to work on customer-facing deployments
• Ability to collaborate with globally distributed teams

Compensation & Benefits

The primary location for this opportunity is Egypt. The applicable salary ranges for this location is:

$23,900 - $47,800 (Egypt)

This role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
