Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation, and manufacture of products across many different industries. Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.

We are looking for a dynamic and technically proficient Cloud Technical Sales to join our team. In this role, you will be the bridge between our customers and our innovative SaaS solutions, helping them understand how our offerings are deployed, secured, and maintained. You will play a critical role in guiding our customers through complex cloud infrastructure topics, whether they're comparing on-premises solutions with cloud-based services or evaluating different cloud deployment strategies.

Additionally, you will take ownership of our internal cloud demonstration environments, which are vital in showcasing our product capabilities. These environments, primarily hosted on AWS, require a strong understanding of AWS services and the ability to securely integrate them with our solutions.

Key Responsibilities


Customer Engagement & Solutions Consultation

  • Work closely with customers to explain the technical architecture and deployment strategies of our SaaS solutions.
  • Guide customers in understanding security best practices, infrastructure options, and the integrations required between on-premises and cloud solutions.
  • Present solutions for cloud environments hosted on various hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and help clients understand how these services can be used to improve scalability, performance, and latency.
  • Clearly communicate the benefits of cloud vs. on-premises solutions, helping customers make informed decisions based on their unique business needs.

Technical Ownership of Cloud Demonstration Environments

  • Manage, maintain, and optimize our internal cloud demonstration environments, primarily hosted on AWS, ensuring they are always available and up to date.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve the performance, security, and scalability of our demo environments.
  • Configure and install software within these environments to simulate real-world customer scenarios.

Cloud Services Expertise

  • Deep understanding of AWS services, with the ability to architect and explain secure and scalable deployments for our solutions.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in cloud technologies, and help customers leverage these services to drive their business forward.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Technical Sales or in a similar technical customer-facing role.
  • Strong knowledge of SaaS solutions, cloud architectures, and hybrid (on-premises and cloud) integration models.
  • Expertise in cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) including EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, Lambda, IAM, and best practices for securely deploying and maintaining cloud-based applications
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with comparing on-premises and cloud-based solutions, highlighting the benefits and trade-offs of each.
  • Solid understanding of security protocols and compliance requirements for cloud services.
  • Hands-on experience installing, configuring, and maintaining software in cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Ability to manage and maintain demonstration environments that are used for product demos and technical showcases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to build strong customer relationships.
  • A collaborative attitude, able to work across different teams and departments.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for technology, cloud computing, and continuous learning.

Nice to have

  • AWS Certified (Solutions Architect, Developer, or similar).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in a SaaS company or with cloud-native solutions is highly desirable.
