Job Location: Huntsville, AL, or Boulder, CO
Siemens EDA is a global technology leader in Electronic Design Automation software. Our software tools enable companies around the world to develop highly innovative electronic products faster and more cost-effectively. Our customers use our tools to push the boundaries of technology and physics to deliver better products in the increasingly complex world of chip, board, and system design.
We are looking for an Agile Coach with experience working directly with multiple development teams simultaneously. Candidates will be fully invested in helping teams succeed over their own professional gain. Ideal candidates have a strong awareness of the role teams play in a scaled environment; avoiding local optimization that can be a detriment to the enterprise. You will be working in an environment where the products being developed are large, mostly desktop-installed, enterprise product suites that are deployed together. In this role you will be part of a community of other Coaches and Scrum Masters supporting our development teams.
Responsibilities:
• Provide information radiators and ensure project data is accurate
• Provide Agile training and coaching for multiple teams within software development organization
• Support Agile transformation for non-scrum development teams
• Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings, sprint reviews and daily scrums
• Coach team members in Agile Principles and Values
• Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration
• Work with product owners to ensure Product Goals, Product Backlog, Sprint Backlogs and Sprint Goals are well formed and consistent with enterprise needs.
• Resolve conflicts and help remove impediments that occur
• Help teams implement changes effectively
• Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint
• Guide development teams to higher scrum maturity
• Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own' the product and enjoy working on it
Minimum Requirements and Skills:
• At least 8 years of work experience in software development and Agile/Scrum roles.
• Experience in a Scrum Master role on more than 1 team simultaneously
• Experience in software development
• Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, story estimation, automated testing, backlog refinement)
• Good knowledge of other Agile frameworks (Scrum@Scale, SAFe, Lean/Kanban)
• Excellent communication and servant leadership skills
• Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field
• Scrum Master certification
Preferred additional Requirements and Skills
• Experience helping with coordination of multiple teams
• Can confidently teach Agile principles and Scrum to others
• Experience helping coach and teach other Scrum Masters
• Has experience supporting/participating in Community of Practice/Guilds to increase learning opportunities
• Good understanding of CI/CD practices and tools
• Good understanding on managing large legacy codebases (C++)
• Experience with one or more ALM tools such as Atlassian Jira or Digital.ai Agility
This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.
