Technical Product Manager - 309098
As a Technical Product Manager, you will be a member of the Simulation & Test Solutions (STS) Product Management team responsible for the product management and application support for the "Engineering Desktop" product area. This is the foundational pre and post processing software for the Simcenter 3D suite of tools. You will collaborate in the product management of different solutions and the corresponding go-to-market. Responsibilities: In this position as a Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for inbound, outbound, and marketing support.
Inbound support includes but not limited to: Interacting with external customers as well as internal customers (strategy, sales, services, industry teams, applications owners, marketing etc.) to understand the business needs and requirements and to be able to convert that information into technical requirements; Analyzing and identifying the gaps / enhancements necessary to the current products; Prioritizing and developing a roadmap for development; Capturing and translating enhancements into capabilities and features; Communicating those to the development teams located in different parts of the world during development phases in an Agile / Scrum development framework; Continuously interacting and providing feedback to the development team throughout the implementation of projects; Reviewing product documentation; Leading development in capturing the new features through industrial use cases for automated testing.
Outbound support includes but not limited to: Delivering technical presentations; Training pre-sales, services, and support teams on existing and new features; Supporting portfolio developers, business development teams, sales, and application engineer teams in customer pursuits; Supporting services with implementation and deployment; Assisting product support teams. Attend to on site-meetings and external events to capture the business case and corresponding requirements.
Marketing support includes but not limited to: Performing competitive analysis; Assisting in the development of collateral for the campaigns and technical marketing initiatives; Participating and presenting at internal and external webinars, seminars and user conferences; Promoting the product through writing blog posts, posting videos, contributing in discussion forums etc.; Assisting marketing with case studies. All of these are various innovative activities to promote our products.
