Substitute Teachers - 340380

The Child Development Center located on the beautiful campus of high-tech company Siemens (formally Mentor Graphics) is looking for substitute teachers to come play with us! Our ideal candidates would be energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivated, authentic, passionate, playful, and most of all genuinely engaged by the work of the very youngest learners, infants through preschoolers.

Schedules are flexible and include prescheduled work (ex. I only want to work Tuesday and/or Thursdays) along with on-call work during our regular operating hours, Mon-Fri 7:45am-5pm.

This is an ideal position for those pursing degrees in education as our Center is NAEYC Accredited and holds a 5-star QRIS rating. As a sub you'll receive on-site training and gain value experience in an innovative, high quality program working alongside our skilled teaching teams. Teachers at the child development center work in a professional, collaborative, team-based culture and are inspired by the schools of Reggio Emilia, Italy and a social-constructivist pedagogy.

 Responsibilities of this position include:

-Supporting the daily work of our school through curriculum that is responsive to children's interests.

-Participating in direct care-giving routines with children.

-Open and constructive communication with colleagues and parents.

Eligibility Requirements:

-Ability to enroll in the Oregon Child Care Criminal Background Registry (must be 18 years of age or older)

- Ability to obtain a Food Handler's Card for feeding children snacks and lunch
