Job Duties

Ownership of architecture and high-level design of the COMOS solution. Conduct client workshop to document product Lifecyle management needs and identify requirements for structured databases and workflows within COMOS. Design the logical structure of the solution including the information model to COMOS project and base object configuration per client’s unique system requirements and required functionality.  Excellent problem-solving skills.  Technical supervision of the project team along with strong liaison between client and Siemens.  Conduct product training internally and externally. Develop the Functional Design and Functional Requirements specifications by defining COMOS object structure, attributes and use cases, linking objects within COMOS, and creating selection lists using COMOS standard functionalities.  Document industry standards and best practice knowledgebase for COMOS product with focus on standardized implementation.  Be engaged in the entire implementation lifecycle including pre-sales technical support.    

30% of domestic/international travel required.  

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or relevant.
  • Seven years of industry experience with Siemens’ COMOS product or comparable Oil & Gas based Engineering Lifecycle Management software product.  COMOS product experience must include at least five years of direct working experience in COMOS implementation project as an architect, solid FEED and P&ID modules project implementation experience, COMOS DB advanced query configuration, COMOS admin advanced skills on base data configuration, COMOS customized plugins development experience, database query scripting and modeling experience.
  • Non-COMOS product experience should include: Minimum of three years of Microsoft SQL Server experience, virtualized environment such as CITRIX/VM Ware, advanced knowledge of Object-oriented development methodology; familiarity with Agile Software development methodology, at least 5 years of VBA Scripting experience, familiarity with Net programming,  Strong experience in industrial common simulation tools such as Pro II, HYSYS, and HTRI.  Familiarity with RESTful API, Microsoft IIS Server, Project Management concepts (PMI) and Cloud Environment concepts (SaaS/IaaS) is desirable.
