What You’ll Be Doing:
Supplyframe, recently acquired by Siemens, is looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Database Architect to take charge of our database infrastructure and help us scale and optimize our SaaS enterprise application.

Responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our database architecture (written in Node.js and Postgres).

Collaborate closely with our Development Team to understand the application’s data requirements and ensure that our database is optimized for performance, security, and scalability.

Ensure data integrity, developing data models, and ensuring that our data is properly backed up and recoverable.

Provide technical leadership to developers on efficient queries, access patterns, and Algorithms.

Maintain application performance and scalability, focusing on performance query tuning, table design, indexing, query plan analysis and SQL refactoring.

Partner with cybersecurity to ensure secure practices and policies are woven into every aspect of database design and operations.

Create data migration strategies and tools; prepare and deploy complex schema updates and data migrations.

Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures for data; assist in routine database administration activities.
Who/What We Are Looking For:

Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience as a database architect or related role.

Knowledge of the PostgreSQL architecture.

Strong understanding of database design principles and data modeling.

Knowledge of how indexes, index management, integrity checks, configuration, how indexes are stored, how they can be created and managed effectively.

Experience with Node.js, AWS or similar cloud-based infrastructure and GIT or other source control tools.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail; excellent communication and collaboration skills
The salary range for this position is $130K to $150K and is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
