Job Title:                      Senior Applications Engineer [MULTIPLE POSITIONS]

Job Location:               Plano, TX and various and unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.

Job Type:                      Full Time

Duties:   Deploy prototyping software and hardware solutions for customers and guide the customers in design. Work with research and development to solve problems, review product specs, and find solutions that improve the overall product. Train AE’s and customers on developed solutions. Win pre-sales engagements in cooperation with the technical sales teams. Deploy solutions at customer sites. Educate the customer on best practices and tool requirements. Work with research and development to make the tool improvements necessary for the customer’s success. Ensure existing customers utilize the solution to its full capabilities. Ensure customers are kept up-to-date with the latest enhancements. Provide customer requirements to research and development and marketing. Work with QA and docs to help them create tests and documentation that will improve company solutions. Create examples and tutorials to be shipped with products. Develop and/or refine methodology used to create prototypes. Communicate across teams. Produce and deliver product demos both in live and prerecorded formats. Create and deliver product presentations focused on functionality and value differentiation. Prepare for and run customer meetings as well as visits to other office locations.

Requirements: The employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or in a related field and 72 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. The position requires experience in the following: SystemVerilog, Verilog and VHDL RTL design; FPGA implementation (partitioning, synthesis, place and route); Debug of RTL designs and simulation; Working with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, various shell scripts/Makefiles, XML, or JSON; Creating and delivering technical product demonstrations. 100% telecommuting is permitted. 25-33% domestic travel is required.
