Vice President, Finance
Siemens Digital Industries Software (DI SW) is looking for an experienced Global Finance Leader. This role will lead the finance and operational aspects of our DI SW Simulation Segment, combining the Altair and STS Segment (Simulation & Test Solutions). The role is responsible for collaboration across DI SW and Siemens businesses internally while being cognizant of the external marketplace and competitive environment.
The goal is help continue transforming the company towards SaaS and driving continuous customer value creation while sustainably delivering growth and profitability.
What will be my tasks?
This Global Finance Leader and their team will be responsible for the following functional areas.
- Drives the company’s financial planning in conjunction with DI SW
- Acts as business partner to the Simulation Segment Lead
- Be a key stakeholder in integrating Altair into DI SW, both culturally and procedural
- Plays key role in transitioning business to SaaS, including planning cost structure (operations cost) and defining a long-term financial plan
- Ensures cost targets and budget are appropriate for the organization’s operations and annual targets
- Accountable for overall performance and success of the Simulation segment, partnering with R&D Leaders for business reviews and decisions
- Ensures compliance with the law and internal Siemens and DI SW company’s policies
- Uses data and business insights to provide robust business analytics and contributes to drive fruitful discussions
- Understands the global SW market and recommends investment and acquisition strategies within the Simulation R&D and Product Marketing portfolio
- Thinks ahead and drives a vision for the Simulation finance function and helps the organization to transform, promoting scalability, applying new capabilities of digitalization, where useful
- Acts as Global Leader on Finance Leadership Team
Minimum Qualifications
- BA, BS, or MBA in Finance, Accounting, or a Related Degree
- CPA is a strong advantage---but not required
Preferred Knowledge/Critical Skills, Education, and Experience
It would be valuable if the Global Finance Leader also had these experiences:
- Proven experience as a finance leader, or relevant role---preferably operating and influencing at the C-Level
- Software acumen/interest desired
- In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g., SAP)
- Ability to strategize and solve problems with strong analytical skills
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, including people management
- Excellent communication and people skills
- 10+ years professional experience, ideally in different business types and with strong focus on Controlling / Finance (both operational and methodical)
- International assignments / experience advantageous as role leads finance and partners with segment leaders in Americas, EMEA, and AP Zones
- Strong executive presence and ability to present/ communicate at executive levels in DI SW and Siemens AG
- Strong Internal Siemens network
- Experience in Software Industry a strong plus, though not required

- Management experience required, including staff and budget responsibility

The salary range for this position is $227,600.00 - 432,400.00 USD Annual and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
