Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position in Fremont, CA is $141,523 - $211,500 per year and this role may be eligible to earn incentive compensation. Duties: Support the product through its life cycle by performing the following tasks: Providing applications engineer training and support for product deployment; Working with the product engineering group and cross functional team that include R&D developers and quality assurance group; Participating as an active member in the semiconductor and lithography industry; Identifying emerging market needs and be an advocate of both customer needs to company management and development team, as well as an advocate of solution and products to the market; Publishing in SPIE or IEEE or peer reviewed journals; and Mentoring junior engineers GPU; Learning about the application field for the products through interaction with customers, other engineers and industry peers, independent literature research and by attending relevant technical conferences; communicating customer requirements to R&D; Demonstrating product features to customers and collect feedback about product applicability and requirements; Contributing to application development and functional validation of software solutions developed by the engineering team; Developing test cases for the quality assurance group in their testing of user scenarios; Filing enhancement and defect reports to address product gaps and defects; Working with R&D to communicate requirements and test prospective solutions.
Requirements: Employer will accept a PhD degree in Material Science, Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field and 60 months of experience in the job offered or in a Product Engineer-related occupation. Position requires experience in the following: Working with semiconductor wafer/mask process development and manufacturing. Working in EDA environment with an emphasis on Semi manufacturing software including GPU acceleration for computational lithography. Working with programing and scripting language including Python, Tcl, and C++. Working with UNIX/Linux operating systems. Working with machine learning techniques. Working with high performance computing. 10% domestic and international travel required.
