What part will you play?

  • In your role as PO within a fast-paced Generative AI project you act as an advocate for a development team translating global product strategy, customer requirements and cross-team needs into day-to-day operations ensuring the development team delivers the right things (what & why)
  • As part of a multi-team organization, you write and refine these requirements in your scope and communicate understanding of the respective customer value to enable the team’s work with maximum clarity.
  • You create, prioritize, and manage the team’s backlog incl. definition of acceptance criteria, ensuring that development teams have clear and actionable tasks in written form.
  • You work closely with developers and engineers during sprints to ensure features are implemented according to requirements.
  • You help and motivate the team to understand tasks by presenting and explaining the product backlog items within the organization.

What you need to make real what matters

  • At least 5 years’ professional experience in software development, including relevant experience with artificial intelligence, data science or cloud engineering.
  • Proven relevant experience as a Product Owner or similar role in the AI or tech industry, with a focus on Generative AI with concrete contributions to released projects/products.
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies, particularly Generative AI, and their applications incl. practical experience with common AI concepts, tools, lifecycle, and good understanding of challenges when implementing and operating AI.
  • Strong ability to translate customer needs into actionable work items and understand technology impact
  • Ability to analyze complex data, empathize for core mechanisms of how AI algorithms work and make informed decisions, incl strong ability to coach team members in those areas.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and tools, e.g. with Lean Startup concepts, Scrum/SAFe frameworks and how to create MVPs to validate your business hypothesis with the Build-Measure-Learn approach

Siemens Software. Transform the Everyday

The salary range for this position is $120,800 to $217,400 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.  Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
