Rate of Pay:           The salary range for this position in Fremont, CA is $132,870 - 189,600.00 per year and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. Duties:  Responsible for supporting company’s FPGA based prototyping solutions, a highly specialized platform used by major semiconductor companies such as Microsoft, AMD, Qualcomm and Intel to prototype computer chips before manufacturing; Directly working with customers and as level 2 support for applications engineers; Providing input to research and development on customer requirements for software; Tracking development of new features required by customers; Working closely with research and development to define the requirements of a feature once it has been selected for development; Training customers and support staff on general use of the product, advanced training topics, and how to use new features. 15% domestic and international travel required. 70% telecommuting permitted within commutable distance.

Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or in a related field and 24 months of experience in the job offered or in a related position. The position requires experience in the following: FPGA place and route software such as AMD Vivado and Intel Quartus; Performing static timing analysis and utilizing timing closure techniques on multi-clock and high utilization designs; Utilizing FPGA prototyping platforms for ASIC verification and software validation; Reading, modifying, and compiling designs written in the hardware description languages of Verilog, SystemVerilog, and VHDL; Working in Windows and Linux operating system environments; Scripting and programming languages such as Tcl, Python, C, and C++.
