We're looking for a Functional Safety Lead to join our team in Cairo, Egypt.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead a team of functional safety engineers and deliver individual project consulting and technical expertise in Siemens core product portfolio.
• Required to have hands on experience in development of complex Integrated Circuits and functional safety standards such as ISO26262 and DO254.
• Work under guidance and in line with project processes and messaging, interact with the customer to support the management of customer expectations and support customer adoption.
• Will be actively participating in Country Communities of Practice, leveraging technical and industry best practices and templates to deliver project tasks, providing experiences to support continual improvement.

Required skills, knowledge, and experience:

• B.Sc. in Computer Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
• +5 years of relevant work experience in customer-facing role.
• Experience in Functional Safety, ISO 26262, and Automotive Market;

1. Run and implement functional safety on ICs / SOCs.
2. Direct experience in Part 5, 8, 9 and 11 of ISO 26262, additional experience in Part 6 is a plus.
3. Experience in generation of safety work products such as: D-FMEA, FMEDA, DFA, FTA, and development of safety requirements.
4. Understand how to develop safety mechanisms within ICs / SOCs – either in hardware or in software.

• Experience in the development of Integrated Circuits;

1. Ability to read and analyze complex RTL designs.
2. Familiarity with IC development flow from requirements through architecture/design through functional verification through physical design.
3. Experience with EDA Tools such as functional verification, synthesis, and/or DFT is required.
4. Experience with EDA Tools in Functional Safety domain is a plus.
5. Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and build effective relations.

• Ability to manage projects, lead teams, create and follow up on action items and tasks.
• Willingness to travel abroad for short/long terms.
