Tableau Platform Administrator - 302543

Plans, analyzes, and coordinates the automation of complex data integrations to support a variety of business processes for internal customers. Performs key role in application specification, custom development, process/technical documentation, testing, training, and implementation for the enterprise reporting system. Interacts with internal customer, analysts and development leads. Conducts critical user support, corrections, reporting, and enhancements. Demonstrates advanced proficiency within a technical/business area. Operates under minimal supervision, with latitude for decision making and cross-team communication.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain Informatica Cloud, Tableau Server, Tableau Desktop and Tableau Prep instances
  • Change management including software, hardware upgrades, patches
  • Performance tuning / Server management of tableau server environment (clustering, Load balancing).
  • Performance optimization of new and existing data integrations
  • Proficient in Tableau Command Line Utility (tsm, tabcmd) and other community-based utilities such as PowerShell.
  • Provide appropriate training and support to business users on the use of Tableau interactive web reports, and Tableau Desktop.
  • Experience configuring Single Sign-on (SSO) with SAML authentication, Embedding dashboards & Trusted Authentication.
  • Work closely with technical architects, data, and software engineers to ensure optimal application and data database/warehouse design to support reporting requirements.
  • Integration with business users to help understand requirements and provide guidance for successful data integration related projects.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or Equivalent Experience
  • 3+ years of Tableau development and administration or Informatica Cloud data integration development and administration (Both Preferred)
  • Proven advanced skill and experience with Tableau development and administration with version 2020+
  • Considerable BI development experience (Tableau preferred)
  • Experience with Informatica Cloud and Informatica Powercenter
  • Experience with utilizing scripting languages to leverage Tableau's APIs (Javascript API, Data Extract API, REST API)
  • Proficient with SQL and PowerShell
  • Proven ability to independently champion business intelligence principles with business owners, application owners, data analysts and DBAs
  • Ability to provide data visualization solutions
  • Ability to build complex data integration processes
  • Linux shell scripting (preferred)
