CFD Consulting Engineer HYBRID - 286645

Position Overview

The CFD Consulting Engineer will perform numerical fluid dynamic and heat transfer analyses for a variety of applications in the automotive, aerospace, marine, energy, and other related industries.

Job functions will include performing model preparation and solution monitoring of the CFD analysis, critical analysis of the results and preparation of technical reports.

The engineer will interact with customers throughout projects. The job location will be hybrid office & work-from-home and opportunities will exist for travel to work directly with our clients.

Interested candidates must demonstrate expertise and abilities to manage projects commensurate with a seasoned engineer level. This includes being able to develop new analysis methods, prioritize different projects, work independently as well as work optimally as part of a team. Must also be methodical and detailed, innovative, confident and be able to communicate effectively at all levels across the organization.

Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a master’s degree in Engineering or Mathematics is required, a Ph.D. is preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with compressible flow, heat, and mass transfer
  • Experience with commercial CFD tools
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills
  • 3-5 years of post-degree experience
  • Some programming experience helpful
  • Position can be based in any US City in the Midwest of East of the Country
