Job Description:
The Analysis & Verification Product Specialist is responsible for developing the strategy and solution flow for our multi-disciplinary analysis and verification products in electronics. Siemens has a broad portfolio of analysis capabilities from electrical to thermal to stress and this role will be instrumental in defining how those capabilities can come together to deliver a solution to solve the problems our customers are facing.

The role requires a creative thinker who can push the boundaries of today’s standard methodologies for electronics’ chip-package-board-system analysis today which is often siloed between technology and physics domains. Understanding principles in multiple areas of analysis, such as thermal, stress, and electrical is required along with electronics domain knowledge from chip through system.

The Product Specialist will be responsible for collaboratively engaging with customers to understand their challenges and needs and working with the sales and product teams to plan and execute a strategy to maximize value of a solution to the customer and Siemens.

As part of this role, the Product Specialist must be able to build a technical proof-of-concept with the Siemens technologies available to prove out the solution with the customer which will include some scripting and automation capabilities.
Responsibilities Include:
The overall responsibility is to work with customers to develop solutions that solve customer problems and drive new sales revenue.
  • Work with sales and product teams to define an engagement strategy to achieve a technical win.
  • Lead the technical engagement and define the workflows between various Siemens technologies
  • A basic understanding of all elements of a technical campaign - decision process, success criteria, committed usage upon success, and, of course, solving the customer’s problem.
  • Establish regular face-to-face meetings with the customer to build trust and identify challenges the customer may be facing.
  • Design and develop automated flows around the Siemens analysis and verification products that can address the customer’s need.
  • Collect and communicate customer feedback, competitive information, and general field intelligence back to the sales and product teams with the goal of aligning product direction and roadmaps.
Job Qualification:
  • MS Degree or equivalent
  • Prior experience in Electromagnetics / Thermal / Stress analysis in design or EDA technical background is required.
  • Knowledge in power electronics and/or chip-package-board-system design required.
  • Python / TCL / VBScript automation skills required
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Prospecting/uncovering skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to effectively work in a highly matrixed organization across sales teams and multiple business units
  • Professional customer presence
  • Business travel required (approximately 25%)
